Music With Heart

The Mary Wiles Gospel Show

Listen To Samples From Mary Wile's New Album "Why Not Take A Chance"

Ten years ago, after performing extensive evangelistic music in the church, schools, youth groups and streets, Mary Wiles was inspired to play a mixture of gospel and wholesome popular music on secular stages. She has fulfilled that call with her band at fairgrounds and festivals playing a wholesome, entertaining and inspiring country variety show. Some fun songs included are "The Orange Blossom Special", "Dueling Banjos", and comedy performances of "Celebrity" guests by her band members. Mary’s new Contemporary Christian CD, "Why Not Take A Chance" is full of fun, motivational gospel songs, two of which have already won songwriting awards.  It was completed in Nashville, has received national distribution throughout the United States and Canada, and is now receiving airplay nationwide.

Mary is available for touring to promote the CD, and can tailor your event for a secular or church audience. It is Mary’s hopes that churches will encourage members to invite their friends to attend these shows as an outreach event.  In addition to being able to play the banjo, fiddle, blues harmonica, mandolin, guitar and keyboards, Mary has been gifted with award winning singer/songwriter abilities. Having won a slew of songwriting contests at an early age, she has been able to craft songs that speak to people’s hearts and inner needs. In the gospel world, Mary has opened for national acts such as Bob Bennett, Freddie Fields of the 70’s Jesus Movement group Lovesong, and the comedy gospel act, Isaac Air Freight. She also played at the Goodwill Games and Expo ‘86. Her song "A White Horse" was featured on the album "In His Majesty’s Service" released on the MRC label with international distribution and airplay. During this time she also released her solo gospel album, "Prototape".

In the secular world, Mary has opened for Loretta Lynn, Tracy Byrd, and the 60’s hit making group, "The Association". Her performances in Nashville have included the famous Bluebird Cafe. She was one of three artists chosen out of Washington State to perform on a grandstand stage in the "Best of the Northwest’s Country Artist Showcase". She won first place in a "Battle of the Country Bands" against ten excellent bands from the Northwest.  She has also been a featured artist at many major fairs in Washington State. She has won many awards from many songwriting and vocal competitions, including Billboard Awards. Some of these songs were released on Mary’s first CD, "The Wrong Side of Town".  In addition to being repeatedly compared to Barbara Mandrell because of her ability to play six instruments, she has performed as headliner at many events, and has been rated by the press as one of the top women performers in Northwest Country Music. Mary would love to bring her music to your event!
